Join Pilates 1901 Instructor and Dance Student Kristen Finck for her Senior Capstone Performance at UMKC this Saturday, Feb. 17th!
Kristen has been with us at Pilates 1901 for about six months. We love her attention to detail, professionalism and passion for movement. A dance major at the UMKC Conservatory of Dance, Kristen’s Senior Capstone Performance is based on her experience with her Grandmother who, after suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, passed away. Her Grandmother had always been very supportive of Kristen’s dancing and encouraged her to pursue it as a career.
At the time of her passing, Kristen was given an assignment in class to create a choreographic work about someone who’d made an impact on her life. The project could not have come at a better time in her life as it allowed her a way to process and cope with her emotions surrounding the loss of her Grandmother.
She will be performing her tribute at White Recital Hall on the UMKC Campus on Saturday, February 17th at 7:30 pm. The event is FREE and Kristen would love anyone who is interested to come. You can be the Pilates 1901 staff will be there to support her.
Thank you Kristen for being talented, caring and a part of Pilates 1901
